About

Vincent Lindsey-Clark

Vincent Lindsey-Clark studied guitar and composition at the Royal College of Music, London after winning the Lanchester International Guitar Competition at the age of 17. He has been active as a soloist and member of various ensembles including the Segovia Trio (see below) and the Modern Guitar Trio.

He is highly regarded as a classical guitar teacher currently working as a member of Southampton University’s very distinguished music faculty. He also teaches at Eton College and London’s Centre for Young Musicians. He has given masterclasses in Hong Kong and Australia and will be visiting the USA next year.

However, he probably best known for his contribution to music education through his compositions, now used by teachers all over the world. He wrote all the music for the ABRSM’s Prep Test and has had commissions for ensemble music (performed in the Royal Albert Hall) on both sides of the Atlantic. His compositions may be heard on Theo’s Brother, a CD of concert guitar works.
